And now Rio Ferdinand has revealed that his kids Lorenz, 11, Tate, nine, and Tia, six, have already started to plan a future wedding between the football pundit and Kate Wright, 26, according to the Sun.
The former centre back, 39 – who recently won a TV BAFTAs for his documentary Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad – told the news publication that his brood would love to play a part in their potential nuptials.

Gushing over his children’s wishes, the BT Sport star said: ‘My little girl wants a replica dress and all this stuff. The kids talk about that a lot!’ “What role am I playing?Am I holding the ring? Who’s doing this?” They have it planned.’
During the discussion, the doting father shared his admiration for the former TOWIE star, who has stepped in as a mother figure following the death of his late wife Rebecca Ellison in 2015.
He said: ‘I’m proud of her – she’s done an amazing job. People in her position sometimes go unrecognised. She has dealt with it in a mature fashion, in a majestic sort of way.’

Rio appeared to confirm Kate’s confession, as she shared that the youngsters have brought up the idea of marriage and more children, consistently pestering Kate and Rio about when they’re getting a baby sibling.
During a recent interview with This Morning, the Essex beauty enthused: ‘I couldn’t imagine the kids would talk about it before!
‘At the school gates, at first they said that’s my aunt, then that’s dad’s girlfriend, then that’s my stepmum – and now they say on daily basis, “When are we having a brother or sister?” It’s really lovely!’

This comes as Kate revealed the slinky show-stopping look she wore to the TV BAFTAs was infact a wedding dress as she took to her Instagram to thank a bridal boutique for her elegant look.

Kate attended the ceremony with Rio when he received a Single Documentary Award for his film Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad.
The heartbreaking documentary focused on family life following the death of his beloved wife Rebecca to cancer, and Kate made sure to honour her memory in a heartfelt message about the future.
Kate shared a picture of an elated Rio holding his BAFTA accolade with pride during the showbiz bash, moments after making his highly emotional acceptance speech.

Rio was close to tears when he accepted his award during the star-studded bash on Sunday night as he also thanked his ‘beautiful’ girlfriend for her support which left fans ‘in tears’ on social media.
In Rio’s BBC special, which aired last June, Rio depicted the difficulties of being a single parent to his three children following the death of his wife following a short battle with cancer.

Fighting back tears, the retired sports star accepted his BAFTA TV Award by saying: ‘I’m normally quite used to picking up trophies.
‘Thanks to BAFTA and all the other nominees, but also to BBC for believing in the project, all the guys at New Era, the management team, it’s been quite a crazy whirlwind experience.
‘I didn’t do this for any other reason other than my three kids. The worst thing to come out of this is that I get quite emotional now. I’m not quite used to it.
‘You’re built up as quite an indestructible athlete. All of the nans, the grandads, the younger people, the middle-aged people who come up to me in the street don’t want to talk about football.

Rio gestured to Kate, who was looking on from the studio audience, and thanked her for her support.

‘This documentary has propelled me forward into a period of happiness where my kids are happy I’ve got a beautiful girlfriend. Thank you, BBC, thank you very much.’
