Gentleman on pepper spray flight describes ordeal

HONOLULU (AP) — The Newest on a can of pepper spray going off inside of a Hawaiian Airways flight. (all periods regional):

A person states he was hoping to nap on board a Hawaiian Airways flight from Oakland, California, to Maui, but was woken up by someone obtaining a coughing in shape.

Nicholas Andrade claims he then found everyone all around him was coughing and flight attendants and travellers were covering their faces.

He says flight attendants explained to the travellers to retreat to the back again of the aircraft exactly where the air was not afflicted. He later on discovered a can of pepper spray had long gone off on the plane.

He says about 40 folks stood in the back of the plane for about 30 minutes.

Hawaiian Airlines spokesman Alex Da Silva states 12 travellers and three flight attendants have been dealt with for respiratory concerns and unveiled soon after the airplane landed in Kahului Friday.

Law enforcement are investigating.
